Seminar: Identifying non-coding RNA genes using computational methods – Xiaodong Chen

Techniques in Computational Genomics Seminar series
Abstract: The goal of the research is to identify non-coding RNA genes in several plants using computational methods.  A purification pipeline has been designed to find non-coding RNA genes and classify them by a series of sequence analysis.  Currently, after several steps of purification, all possible protein-coding genes have been filtered out and only ncRNA gene candidates remain.

Speaker: Xiaodong Chen, PhD  candidate with the Research School of Biology, ANU

Location: Meeting Room 1, Research School of Biology Building 46 (RN Robertson Building) ANU.

Time: 3.30pm
