Genome Informatician - SA Pathology, Adelaide 

We are seeking a genome informatician to work within the Technology Advancement Unit, Genetic and Molecular Pathology Directorate, on the implementation of diagnostic NGS testing at our laboratory.

You will contribute to the delivery of high-throughput genetic testing technologies by implementing and maintaining genome analysis pipelines for diagnostic applications. You will work closely with senior genome informaticians, service development scientists and section heads within the Genetic and Molecular Pathology directorate as well as with staff in the SA Cancer Genome Facility.

The position reports to the Head – Technology Advancement Unit, Department Head – Molecular Pathology and Business Manager – Genetic and Molecular Pathology.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Department of Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Criminal History Check. Job Ref: 566243.

This position is based at the Frome Road Laboratories of SA Pathology and it is a permanent full time position.
