Genomics LIS Manager, The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre – Melbourne

The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories.

Peter Mac’s Molecular Pathology Laboratory and Genomics Core Facility are currently seeking a Genomics LIS Manager to lead the implementation, integration and day-to-day operation of a clinical Omics laboratory management system.

As a strong communicator and team player, you will work with a team of clinical scientists, bioinformaticians and IT professionals to develop an integrated end-to-end sample management and data analysis solution for Peter Mac’s clinical and research genomics programmes, including hardware integration to our sequencers, QC instruments and robotic liquid handling platforms, and software integration to our bioinformatics suite and pathology LIS. Excellent computer programming skills, knowledge of bioinformatics and/or biostatistics is essential.

This position is offered as a 12 month fix-term contract in the first instance.
