Bioinformatician - Monash University/Monash Bioinformatics Platform

The Monash Bioinformatics Platform is a newly created platform that provides bioinformatics support to Monash University and affiliated organisations.

Working with a degree of autonomy, you will be responsible for collaborating with and providing bioinformatics support to the MHTP's Medical Genomics Facility and its associated research groups. You will undertake the bioinformatics component of research from the experimental design phase through to publication. This will include analysing next generation sequencing datasets, collecting and archiving the metadata for these experiments and creating workflow pipelines to facilitate data processing, storage, retrieval and access by internal and external scientists.

Whilst employed by Monash University through the Faculty of Biomedical and Psychological Sciences, you will primarily be based on the Monash Medical Centre campus supporting translational research.

If you are highly motivated and would enjoy being part of a supportive team of professional staff, apply now. This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
