2014 Big Biology and Bioinformatics (B3) Symposium

The B3 2014 symposium will bring together researchers from across South East Queensland, who utilise 'omics' technologies such as Next Generation Sequencing, Mass Spectrometry, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance or High-Throughput Multiplex Elisa Systems. These technologies acquire 'Big data' from biological systems and are used in advanced bioinformatics and mathematical approaches to unravel the molecular complexity within. QUT is well positioned to take a lead role in these rapidly emerging areas.

B3 2014 will build on the success of the inaugural Systems Biology and Bioinformatics Symposium in 2013. The name change is an evolution of the symposium designed to encompass a wider range of researchers.

The symposium is hosted by QUT's Institute for Future Environments (IFE) and the Institute for Health and Biomedical Innovation (IHBI).
