BIG SA

The Bioinformatics Interest Group of South Australia (BIG SA) is a group of cross-organisational bioinformaticians and allied professions from around South Australia (SA).

BIG SA is committed to working closely with computer scientists, statisticians and biologists to successfully address computational challenges pertinent to biological questions and experiments.

BIG SA will provide opportunities for the local research community to engage with its bioinformaticians, and for bioinformaticians to engage with each other and provide educational outreach activities. BIG SA will have an ethos of collaborative teaching, learning and cross-mentoring; with an emphasis on interactive workshops for the development of bioinformatics skills within the research community.
