Jalview is a free software platform for multiple sequence alignment, visualisation and analysis that is widely used in teaching and research. It can retrieve and integrate data from Ensembl, Uniprot, the European Nucleotide Archive, and the PDBe, and allows structure visualisations to be created via Jmol, VARNA, and UCSF Chimera.
