Bioinformatics position, Pacific Laboratory Medicine Services

PaLMS (Pacific Laboratory Medicine Services) is part of Pathology North, a NSW Health Pathology Service. The PaLMS Division of Genetics provides analytical and diagnostic / clinical services for patients of customers / clients from a number of facilities within Northern Sydney Health. Specimens and referrals may also be received and processed from patients of medical practitioners from within and outside the Northern Sydney Area, and from Collection Centres operated by PaLMS.

The PaLMS Laboratory and Community Genetics (LCG) laboratory is part of a collaborative consortium that includes:

  • Molecular Genetics, Prince of Wales Hospital, South Eastern Illawarra Area Laboratory Service (SEALS)
  • Kolling Institute of Medical Research, Royal North Shore Hospital
  •  Genetics of Learning Disabilities (GOLD) Program
  • University of Sydney School of Information Technology 

This position will be located at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards, Sydney and will be supporting Bioinformatics analyses performed across the members of the consortium.
