The Wells laboratory at the University of Melbourne has a position for an experienced computational biologist / bioinformatician with an interest in the development and application of methods for multi-omics data integration and interrogation. The role will be responsible for analysis of research data generated as part of the Bioplatforms Australia Stem Cell Project, which is generating a major molecular atlas of pluripotent stem cells and their differentiated progeny.
You will work within an experienced transcriptomics group, as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaise with the Stemformatics.org platform developers and with local bioinformatics groups. You will work closely with the local stem cell research community, develop in-depth knowledge of stem cell biology and be responsible for analysis of the combined BPA stem cell atlas.
You will be expected and encouraged to lead a bioinformatics research program, develop and publish software, the application of these tools to key stem cell questions, and your research output will reflect this leadership, as well as the collaborative environment that you will work in.
