Two highly a motivated individuals are sought for the ongoing development of a bioinformatics core team at the School of Animal and Veterinary Science. The mission of the team is to provide state of the art bioinformatics capability, to develop novel bioinformatics methodology and deliver high impact basic and applied science in the fields of agriculture, biomedicine and environmental science.
The successful applicants will be based at the University of Adelaide, Roseworthy Campus and will work in close collaboration with the Bioinformatics Hub located in the School of Biological Sciences at the North Terrace Campus.
The post-doctoral researcher will be recruited at Research Level A or B. The successful applicant will have experience in bioinformatics applied to biological problems and have shown an aptitude for innovation typically related to transcriptome profiling, genome and epigenomic analyses, the identification and characterisation of functional variants, genome assembly or meta-genomics.
