Translational Bioinformatics Officer

The Translational Cancer Research Network (TCRN) is seeking an experience, highly motivated, organised and flexible Translational Bioinformatics Officer.

The TCRN is a member-based network that has been established to create an innovative and supportive environment for the translation of research findings into improvements in patient care and outcomes. The Translation Bioinformatics Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of biological data integration, analysis and visualisation systems for TCRN.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience working in a Linux environment, possess strong programming skills in R, C/C++, SQL and Java, and be able to produce work of high quality and accuracy. In addition, you will be detail oriented, with strong organisational, communication and time management skills with a high level of interpersonal skills and with significant understanding of cancer bioinformatics, or genomics, or molecular biology and/or biochemistry.

This is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term position available for 12 months, which may be renewed for a further period.
