Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Fellow - Statistical Genetics - Brisbane

Opportunities currently exist for up to five experienced Postdoctoral Research Fellows/Research Fellows to be part of the internationally recognised group based at the Queensland Brain Institute. The successful applicants will be responsible for working on a variety of research topics. All projects may involve: analysis of genotyping, expression, methylation and sequencing data; simulation of genetic data for testing of methods and for interpretation of results within a population genetics framework; writing of computer code to efficiently manage large data sets; and the development of user friendly software for dissemination to the wider academic community.

The person

Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field and have evidence of research productivity, including publications and conference presentations. For an appointment at Academic Level B, you will have extensive postdoctoral experience.


This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for an initial period of up to 3 years (renewal subject to funding and performance) at Research Academic level A or B. The remuneration package will be in the range $74,254 - $79,708 p.a. (Level A), or $83,904 - $99,635 p.a (Level B), plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17%. Level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications, experience and academic achievements.
