The Computational Biology and Bioinformatics Group within the Inflammation and Infection Research group at the School of Medical Sciences at UNSW is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to assist in research studies investigating infectious diseases, with particular focus on hepatitis C virus infection. The successful applicant will perform statistical analyses and computational/bioinformatics studies in the immune-virology of hepatitis virus infections and other rapidly mutating pathogens.
The applicant should have a PhD or equivalent in an appropriate field, with skills in Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or Bioinformatics. Experience working with next generation sequencing data would be an advantage. Good communication, organisation skills and attention to detail are essential.
This is a full time fixed term appointment available for 1 year in the first instance with possibility of extension.
