The University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience is a leading global research institute. IMB was established in 2000 as UQ's flagship research institute and is the cornerstone of one of the largest bioscience research precincts in Australia.
The successful appointee will be involved in a Synthetic Biology project aimed at the development of protein-based artificial allosteric receptors, signal transducers and their effectors. The purpose of the project is to expand a tool box of modular signalling molecules for construction of synthetic signalling pathways in vitro and in vivo. Further the developed molecules will be used for creation of novel analytic and diagnostic applications.
