The University of Queensland's Institute for Molecular Bioscience is a leading global research institute. IMB was established in 2000 as UQ's flagship research institute and is the cornerstone of one of the largest bioscience research precincts in Australia.
The successful appointee will lead the development work to build the systems to make available genome sequence data on coral and other species important to the health of coral reefs. They will be required to liaise with the partners in the Sea-Quence project to determine the needs of the project and throughout the development. They will be responsible for designing the IT systems necessary to the task. The will also be required to represent the project in strategic meetings of the Sea-Quence project and in the context of other global data sharing collaborations.
