Postdoctoral position in Bioinformatics and Systems Medicine - Sydney

Applications are invited from those with excellent training in bioinformatics and communication skills to work in the newly established Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Systems Medicine at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

The long-term goal of the laboratory is to understand (epi)genomic regulation in embryonic organ development and diseases in human and relevant animal models using integrative bioinformatics analysis of genome-scale data, especially next-generation sequencing (NGS) data  such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, DNase-seq, and whole genome sequencing.

An ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a quantitative field and have substantial experience in bioinformatics. In exceptional cases, we will consider candidates with a biological/biomedical qualification and demonstrated programming skills.
