Sydney Computational Biologists Meetup

Our goal is to provide a forum bringing together computational biologists and bioinformaticians working in Sydney. The plan is to have a series of early evening meetings featuring prominent visiting scientists in the field, and hosted at a central location in the Sydney CBD. Following each featured talk, we plan to adjourn to a nearby restaurant / bar, providing an opportunity to socialise and to share knowledge and experience. We encourage all interested to get involved with organising future visitors and meetups.

The inaugural meeting will be at Google HQ, 5/48 Pirrama Rd Pyrmont. Jason Swedlow (University of Dundee) will be talking about 'The Open Microscopy Environment: Open Image Informatics for the Biological Sciences'
