Bioinformatics Postdoc - Centenary Institute

Cutting Edge Opportunity for a Bioinformatician at an Innovative Research Institute with State-of-the-Art facilities.

Undertake funded research into epigenetics, epitranscriptomics and alternative splicing in normal biology and cancer.

CENTENARY INSTITUTE is a centre of excellence in medical research affiliated with the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney.

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic bioinformatician to work with a team of researchers in the areas of Epigenetics, Epitranscriptomics, RNA biology and cancer. Building on the recent discoveries we published in Cell, Nature Communications and Blood, we are currently investigating the roles of DNA methylation and RNA modifications in the regulation of alternative splicing in diverse human and mouse cells and tissues. We are also expanding our study to define the interplay between aberrant epigenetic and RNA modifications that contribute to splicing abnormalities relevant to cancers. We are committed to support and mentor young investigators to become group leaders in the future.

Your main role will be to conduct bioinformatics analyses in collaboration with a team of web lab researchers for a fixed term, while participating in the activities of Centenary.

We are looking for exceptional candidates with:
